Unable To Upload PDF

(Please skip to 02:04 in the video above.)

If you have received one of the following error messages, then this article is for you.

"A network connection error has occurred. Please try again."

"The import operation has failed."

You will receive one of these error messages when HelloCustom is taking too long to convert the PDF into an editable template.

This most commonly occurs when there is a vector image within the PDF that is too large to convert in time.

PDFs keep their layers and all element's original sizes.

As a result, some vector images are just too large to convert in time.

To get your PDF to upload properly, you will need to compress the large vector image.

This will keep the overall design the same resolution but make the image within the PDF less heavy.

Follow the steps below to compress the image(s) within your design.

Step 1: Take the image element from the design and upload it to an image compressor.

You can use the following image compressor site: https://imagecompressor.com

Make sure you are only uploading the image element and not your complete design.

Step 2: Replace the image in your design with the compressed image element.

Step 3: Redownload the design as PDF and try uploading to HelloCustom again. If you get the same error message, repeat steps 1-3 for a different large vector image.
